Journal entry Oni, this is Chimalli recording the very last section of text for the spirit of Melquiades.       The Oni section of this text looks past the regrets, and onto what follows the spirit prior. He has used his last fragments of soul to reach a small number of his disciples to show them the truth, a bookstore is where one can read the language of his experiments or parchment manuscripts. He hopes showing compassion with giving closure will help his conscience, as for others he begs for them to not follow in the same footsteps as one cannot accomplish what he strived to. In the afterlife he speaks their is greatness but you must make your environment, you must treat man in order to treat yourself. Melquiades speaks deeply in the afterlife you would beg for their to be yellow to follow, but without peace their is no color. After this entry is written my final needs to gain peace will be met, and I hope my world becomes the world of color I once knew. For the dream of seeing ye

100 years of solitude post 2

This is Chimalli the one who records the great spirit, Journal entry UU the second entry to the spirits warning.       When one lives for long enough to stretch the sin of their unlived inner wants and desires over tribes and lands what is the even trade, power? Ah yes, the sins we've committed burdening the most vulnerable that hide in plane site. We've demolished communities and families and while these are the necessary actions to bring the next stage of greatness to them, I do not believe that one does this for their willingness to give but out of selfish and dangerous wants. Melquiades the great spirit, oh you have burdened thy neighbor with your want for power and delivered it on the finest china. The plate you give these people of solitude is a the idea of smoke and mirrors and your disciples being idealized rather than the truth that their your test dummy, you give them the power to think outside of their natural thought and predict how they will advance in their envir

This ancient scroll has been turned to pdf by the National History Foundation in order to preserve ancient texts for learning purposes only, enjoy with caution. The following text has been analyzed and translated to English.      This is Chimalli of the gypsy's, I am now a lone mortal man who unfortunately has to record the last given requests to hand out a warning by the spirit Melquiades.        Journal Entry IIN Time: Unknown, Melquiades experiments on life grew too great for his own keep. I must say he was a quite impressive gypsy but our power as it's combination is with the mortal body leaves us limited, destruction of this limit rids us of our mortality or even something greater. Something Melquiades was not ready for, in his last moments he spoke to me that he would like mortal bodies of the tribe to be cautious for this would be their fate if they do not take in his solemn word. The human mind and body is fragile in nature, as well is the soul, he tested these limits a

Final Project: The history of G Funk in association to black rights.

Eazy- E - Real Muthaphuckkin G's, Released in 1993, Compton California. This form music does not just serve society, but furthers our societal evolution as a whole.       This is G Funk, a sub genre in early 90's rap culture known for it's connections to Jaz as well as the use of more electronic based sounds. This is theorized to be due to the influence of DJing in this era of the rap genre, which I previously discussed briefly in my last blog entry when I was discussing the video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Although it was discussed briefly there is so much more to this culture and their music and why it was created and how it gained influence. This piece in particular shows a great example of G Funk, with the work comes long electronic whines which go from high to low ranges producing a fluctuation in the pitch.       The sound produced is long and overdone but on purpose as it makes the song feel lazy, like other works in the early west coast era these elements

West Coast Rap/HipHop Music and the fictive dream presented by GTA San Andreas Song of choice: Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Theme, composed by Michael Hunter, Released in October 26th of 2004, California.       The Grand Theft Auto video game franchise created by Rockstar Games released their fifth installment being San Andreas, created by Leslie Benzie's and Dan Houser their idea for the game was supposed to create a 90's west coast gangster culture setting even replicating famous west coast rappers of that time such as Eazy-E and Notorious B.I.G. and so on in the games character's. The musical element in the west coast culture they are trying to portray became the biggest symbol of the theme and arguably the most famous part of the game. West coast hip hop or rap is characterized by using more electronic elements which is theorized to be due to the west coast hip hop era being more oriented around DJing opposed to rapping, as well as being more fast paced than other st

Role of the performer (Eminem)

Image
Eminem's Lose Yourself, Oct 28th 2002, 54 Sound Studio, Detroit Michigan      This is Eminem's piece "Lose Yourself" as to which he describes exactly why he is an amazing performer, describing the struggles of mental and physical stress with performing in his lyrics for example "His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy, there's vomit on his sweater already, mom's spaghetti, he's nervous but on the surface, he looks calm and ready." as well as tools he uses to stay confident for instance his life struggles and how badly he wants them to end is what he mentally focus's on to get in the zone. This keeps him calm during his performance to combat stage anxiety to give his absolute best. This is the key factor of performing, he says "You better lose yourself, in the music, the moment, you own it you better never let it go." What I believe he means is you have to lose your the panicked voice in your head that thinks what the cr

Musical Trip to Japan During WW2

Lets Travel Back To Japan In WW2! Music pieces that are included:  (1937)Umi Yukaba , composed by Kiyoshi Nobutoki, lyrics based on a choka poem by Otomo no Yakamochi. Origin : Japan         Umi Yukaba was a patriotic song that gained popularity during the world war two era, although the song has a very uplifting   melody it is   accompanied with a fluctuating range from high to low making the song very emotional, the rhythm also strikes high emotions being very unique and non repetitive. In comparison to a lot of the other Japanese war songs such as our next piece this one takes the repetitive nature along with the dark and brooding, then replaces it with happiness and uplifting which makes this song much more disturbing, it is easy to be fooled. The Japanese and lyrics written had darker intentions with this uplifting melody, as it was reported by Enemy In The Mirror that it was usually was sung before takeoff by a kamikaze suicide bomber. The lyrics read the following "if I
