This is Chimalli of the gypsy's, I am now a lone mortal man who unfortunately has to record the last given requests to hand out a warning by the spirit Melquiades.
Journal Entry IIN Time: Unknown, Melquiades experiments on life grew too great for his own keep. I must say he was a quite impressive gypsy but our power as it's combination is with the mortal body leaves us limited, destruction of this limit rids us of our mortality or even something greater. Something Melquiades was not ready for, in his last moments he spoke to me that he would like mortal bodies of the tribe to be cautious for this would be their fate if they do not take in his solemn word. The human mind and body is fragile in nature, as well is the soul, he tested these limits and had found the result in which one loses all. Melquiades discovered his greatest ability, some sort of spell that was to plant prophecies upon other tribes of solitude that would seek out his future projects or in other words disciples. He started with introducing the modern man to a man not ready to be modern, this would in turn spit out the most eager and willing to build a relationship with and take under his wing as they would have to break free from what they know proving their dedication.
Many had gone mad with a thirst for power due to the gift of free thought and they discovered the power they desired was unattainable in the human life span, Melquiades would not tell the unfortunate mortal the secret to a longer than average life for it went against our view of ethics. None were able to make the progress Melquiades had made, he was disappointed greatly by his findings despite that he was able to have this influence on man. His relationships to these disciples is what burdened him, for a while he strived and achieved great success. Although most unfortunately he would pass the burden meant to equal himself onto his disciples leaving them to the fate which is the limitations of the mind and body. The one thing that kept his mortal body safe for so long was his lack of burdens, this would come back to haunt him soon enough as he could not escape the wrath of mortality.
Wherever there was death in his disciples lives it was followed by yellow, whether it show true in the trees or in the creatures that live within them they were always followed by yellow. He had written books describing the predictions he had for the experiments he so carelessly treated, these predictions would tell the story of many groups quite accurately. The main mistake Melquiades made was not to pay any mind to his own, his success had grown to the point of absolute destruction and the levelling process would be disastrous. If one could cheat mortality for success and knowledge, it would be success itself that cheats one of mortality, sadly you cannot have life without death the yellow is what will come to haunt man.
For this his relationships were some of the keys to his great successes as well as his greatest failures and while he could pass off the levelling process onto many others so he could survive in his mortal body, the chase will not end until you are nothing more than a spirit with the inability to be anything but. Do not burden your relationships to avoid the consequences that is being mortal, for you will become void of exactly that with much a price to pay.
